Born and bred in Brisbane Australia; the youngest of 2 children. Growing up Melanie always had a love for designing and drawing. Although she did well in school, she often found herself getting bored of the mundane & absolutely hating routine.
As a 'December baby', Melanie finished high school before her 17th birthday and gained an admin job instantly over the summer. Secure but restless, she began searching for something more mind stimulating.
"In 2008 I began promotional modelling and within 6 months I loved it so much, I took it on full time".
In 2009, Melanie started gaining some modelling jobs for various campaigns. By 2010 she was given her first big break into the photographic modelling scene, when popular Gold Coast lifestyle brand UNIT Riders saw her pictures and asked her to be featured as one of the infamous 'UNIT babes' - featuring on a range of merchandise sold worldwide.
The end of 2010 ended with a bang, making Top 10 for ZOO Weekly's Real Girls Finalists and featured in ZOO Magazine.
Most notably, in November 2010 Melanie was given the opportunity of a lifetime. Hand picked by Hugh Hefner as one of the 17 girls chosen worldwide to open Playboy Club Macao and a 6 month contract as a Playboy Bunny.
"I am very lucky to of been made apart of the Playboy family at such a young age. It was an absolute honour to wear the bunny suit during my Playboy Club contract and it is very cool to join the list of amazing women that have worked as a Playboy Bunny throughout the last 50 years".
"I will always remember my experiences - growing up away from home, living in Macao and the friendships I made. Oh and of course, getting to visit the Playboy Mansion. It's moments and opportunities like those I have to pinch myself sometimes".
Since her return home to Australia, she has continued her love of promotions and modelling for a range of companies and brands including - Nena & Pasadena, ZOO Magazine, Fuchs Lubricants, Jim Beam Party Crew and Pepsi Next.
Today, Melanie is a regular grid girl and corporate hostess at Australian sporting events such as - V8 Supercars, Australian Drift Championships, World Time Attack, Top Gear Festival, MX Nationals, EnduroX Nationals, WSBK, NRL, State of Origin, UFC and Australian Open.
"My week consists of anything from golf days, charity events, conventions & expos. There's also brand representation at sporting events/music festivals and corporate hostessing. Most people are surprised at how much is going on throughout Australia when it comes to entertainment. I definitely keep myself busy on a weekly basis. I don't have a regular 9 to 5 job and I love that".
"I consider myself so lucky I get to travel Australia doing what I love and attending some really cool events".
Melanie has enjoyed a diverse career in modelling and considers this just the beginning.
